The theory of the "Unitary Executive" has allowed presidents and constitutional scholars to bully this nation into War and other misadventures which we as a nation must act to stop.
One of the beauties of the US system of government is that it is designed as a government of the people and by the people. To that end our legal systems are based on what's known as common law as opposed to the other common legal systems in place at the time of the framing
of the constitution which were based on Roman Law. The fundamental difference being that Roman law is highly codified. Each and every rule is specifically spelled out word for word.
The idea behind common law is that in general people basically know the difference between good and evil or right and wrong. But in the final analysys, the idea is supposed to be that common sense should rule the day whenever possible and practical.
